Responsible for the daily execution of the Permitting and Starts Process which involves the coordination and preparation of permit application packages and the organization of all new home information necessary to initiate the start of construction.


Tasks


Departmental Communication


  • Update Team Members on status of permits process via electronic reporting and verbal communication 


Review and Preparation of Paperwork


  • Review Plot Plans, Foundation and Blueprints to insure accuracy and continuity of all Docs prior to distribution 
  • Review construction permit updates received against backlog for future Starts


Permit Coordination


  • Interface with local, city, and state officials to obtain documentation and information needed to develop a strategy to insure a smooth permitting process
  • Update and compile research information of permitting requirements in each jurisdiction
  • Prepare permit application packages online or paper documents
  • Renew/complete registrations with cities

  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge


  • Basic administrative skills essential to this position 
  • Construction knowledge helpful but not required

Education & Experience


  • High school Diploma Required
  • Experience in working with Construction Builder/Contractor preferred


Physical Requirements/Environment


  • Position requires sitting, walking, and occasionally standing
  • Noise level for office environment is quiet to moderate
